2024 sport Events : all disciplines!

Football came to the sporting events program very early. It didn’t leave it. Women’s football subsequently entered the programme of sporting events.

The tennis events of this summer in Paris take place from 27 July to 4 August 2024 at the Roland-Garros stadium in Paris, on clay court. The tournament will feature 172 players in five events: men’s and women’s singles and doubles and mixed doubles.

Breaking has appeared on the program of major competitions of the Youth of Buenos Aires, in 2018. After the great success of the discipline, it is on the occasion of the events of this summer in Paris that the breaking will enter a little more in the world of high sport competition.

Wrestling is a sporting discipline and a combat sport. There are a very large number of varieties but we can distinguish three main ones: freestyle wrestling (LL), Greco-Roman wrestling (GR) and women's wrestling (LF).

Volleyball was born at the same university as basketball in Springfield, Massachusetts, in 1895. It was in Tokyo, during the sporting events of 1964, that volleyball made its arrival in the program of the events.

Water polo is an aquatic team sport pitting two teams of seven players against each other. A variation of water polo was practiced in ancient Rome, in thermal baths. The first rules were issued in 1870 by the London Swimming Club.

Archery is a sport of precision and concentration in which competitors attempt to shoot their arrows into the center of a target with their bow.

In canoe sprint, competitors compete on a flat water course over distances ranging from 200 to 1000 meters. The race is done in a line over eight lanes, the objective being to cross the line first.

Hockey is a sport in which two teams play against each other by attempting to maneuver a ball or puck (puck) into the opponent's goal using a stick.

The modern pentathlon is a sporting event made up of five disciplines, hence the name pentathlon. These events are fencing, swimming, horse riding, pistol shooting and running.

Rhythmic gymnastics (GR) is a sporting discipline with an artistic component close to classical dance and gymnastics, mainly female, using several skill apparatus: rope, ribbon, hoop, ball, clubs.
